Abstract

It is shown that the method of continued fractions proposed by Horáček and Sasakawa generates a sequence of Schwinger‐like variational principles for the scattering T‐matrix. Together with the variational principles, restrictions on the trial function may also be defined. Preliminary calculations show fast convergence of the method.
