Determination of the deuteron asymptotic D- to S-state ratio by a padé-approximant technique

Abstract

The asymptotic D-state to S-state wave function ratio of the deuteron is recalculated by the pole-extrapolation method. Contrary to the standard polynomial expansion approach we extrapolate by using rational functions. This results in faster convergence, better stability and higher accuracy of the extrapolated value.
