Comparative study of methods for the construction of Padé approximants of type III

Abstract

The performance of three iterative algorithms developed for the construction of type-III (statistical) Padé approximants is compared with that of two general minimization methods. All the methods are tested in detail for simulated data derived from a simple model function as well as for a realistic example of extrapolation of p+d scattering data.
