Abstract

Cross-sections for electron impact induced vibrational excitation and dissociative electron attachment in HBr have been calculated using the nonlocal resonance model. The parameters of the model have been determined from recent fixed-nuclei electron-HBr scattering and HBr- bound-state calculations. The energy dependence of the calculated cross-sections is in good agreement with the available experimental data.
