Several features of the Kerr field are interpreted in terms of the gravitational and inertial "forces": the (recently found) collimation effect (and also the geodesic motion in general), the occurrence of the central repulsive region, of the ergosphere, and of the horizon. In particular, it is claimed -- and also illustrated on comparison with several figures of trajectories in the Newtonian scalar model of the Kerr field -- that the rotational dragging does not play a major role in collimations.
