This year, the workshop for students of the Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP) took place on October 20-22. About 60 third-year BA students, MA students, and PhD students participated at the workshop.
Unlike previous sessions, the meeting will not be held on the premises of the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Ondřejov but on a farm in Světlá pod Blaníkem.
Around 40 beds will be available for students on the site; the remaining students will have the option of using their own sleeping bags and mats. Participants will be accommodated in rooms for 3-8 people with bathrooms. Indoor shoes need to be worn in the rooms. Bed sheets and blankets are included but towels are not—please bring your own ones. In most rooms, there is a double bed in addition to single beds. Consider whether you would not prefer your own sleeping bag over the locally provided blankets. In view of the cold weather and the fact that the lecture rooms are heated to a rather low temperature, we recommend warm clothing.
Meals will be served starting with the dinner on Friday and ending with the lunch on Sunday (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please indicate so in the registration form. Soft drinks will be available. Treats, snacks, home-made goodies, and minor cuisine additions are welcome. If you require snacks during the day, take your food with you. There are refrigerators available.
Transportation is available by bus (Fun&Relax by Regiojet) departing from the Faculty building in Troja at 12:00 PM on Friday and going back after the lunch on Sunday.
The CZK 400 contribution must be paid after your participation has been confirmed. Pay the contribution at the ITP front office by 4 PM on October 18.
