ITP Workshop (NTMF100)
or „Ondřejov“ at the Kostelec nad Černými lesy castle
česká verze

This year's workshop for ÚTF students will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2025. This year, the workshop will not take place at the traditional location (the construction of a building with a lecture hall is still underway in Ondřejov), but at the castle in Kostelec nad Černými lesy. You can view the location at the link zamekkostelec.cz, or on website mapy.cz.

Third-year bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students are particularly invited. The lectures will be held in both Czech and English.

The program – professional, tourist (arboretum, Brewery Museum), sports (cross-country running) and cultural (musical instruments welcome) – is suitable for students of all ages. The capacity of the workshop is 64 students. In addition to accommodation (this year, sheets, blankets and pillows will be provided to everyone), full board will be provided (we start with Friday's dinner and end with Sunday's lunch). Transportation is individual, the castle is a few minutes walk from the "Kostelec n.Č.l., Náměstí" bus stop of lines 381, 387 (from Metro Háje) and 660 (from Český Brod). A contribution of 500 CZK/stay will be collected from participants in advance.

Instructions for participants:

  1. Due to limited capacity, early registration for the workshop via the registration form will be required. To receive credit, register NTMF100 in SIS.
  2. Registration will open on Wednesday, October 1st at 8:00 PM using this link, which will be available at that time. (Registration is required by October 14th, but capacity may run out earlier.)
  3. Registered participants will be confirmed by the organizers by email no later than October 17. The professional program will be detailed on this website. About 2 days before departure, you will find here also the information about distribution into rooms and assignment to shifts for lunches and dinners.
  4. Payment of the contribution of 500 CZK/stay and filling out the residence card (you must bring your ID card or passport) will take place at the ITP secretariat during the week of October 20 - October 24.
  5. Heating of the castle premises – rooms and conference rooms are heated.
  6. There will be a kitchenette with limited capacity and a shared refrigerator for all participants in the accommodation. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. There will be an opportunity to make tea and coffee in the kitchenette, which we will provide, and breakfast will be distributed there. Due to capacity reasons it is expected to be eaten in the rooms; it would be useful if you bring a cup and a plate with you. Lunches and dinners will be served in the castle dining room. In the historic halls of the castle, where lectures will be held, only drinking is allowed, but not eating. Individual food purchases are possible, among others, in the town's square (regarding beverages, the ÚTF only provides tea and coffee).
  7. Since the castle belongs to Czech Agricultural University in Prague, Eduroam should work.
  8. Transportation: We recommend using suburban bus lines. Lines 381 and 387 depart from Praha-Háje at 1200, 1300, 1330, 1400 and 1410 (the last and subsequent lines will not be on time for the start of the first lecture). If you have a Prague public transport coupon Lítačka, tell the driver, part of the ride will be free. You can also use the Prague - Český Brod (train) connection and the connecting line 660, which departs at 1415.
Parking in the castle is not possible, but the nearest parking is just across the street.
